Malacca, Malaysia - A Gees Travel Guide and Adventure

We heard a lot of good things coming from our friends who visited the place of Malacca, so after thorough check, we went to Malacca.  The fact that it is just a 4-hour drive from Singapore, we are excited to explore the place.

Malacca City is located in the southwestern part of  Malaysia.   It is known to its famous street called-Jonker street a Chinatown main thoroughfare of shops selling antique, souvenir and ts night market. It was founded around 1400 by a former prince from Sumatra (who ended up in Malacca during an escape attempt in that area). Malacca turned out to have a very good strategic position, and not long after the foundation, the influx of merchant ships from India and China started.  Before it was a fishing village inhabited by local inhabitants known as Orang Laut and now it is one of the most popular tourist destinations within Malaysia.
